NEVI in plain English: what the charging program is and why it matters to landowners
NEVI is a federal program that helps pay for public EV charging. It is administered through the states, and it is competitive.
What NEVI stands for
NEVI is the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure program. Its aim is a public charging network drivers can rely on. Funding flows through each state, so the process and the rules you meet depend on where your property is.
Why it matters if you own land
Public charging has to be built somewhere. Sites with the right location, space, and power are what funded projects are made of. If your property fits, a grant can be part of how charging gets built there.
What it does not mean
It does not mean funding is guaranteed. Applications are competitive and a good site can still miss out. That is why we say so up front and why the evaluation comes first.
Where GreeneEV comes in
GreeneEV grew out of hands-on experience with NEVI charging grants. We know what the programs ask for, and we bring that to your property so you do not have to learn it yourself.
