Ten questions to ask any EV charging company before you partner
Whoever you talk to, these questions separate a real offer from a brochure.
- Is it free to find out if my site works? It should be.
- Will you put my payment in writing before anything is built? Insist on it.
- Who runs payments, pricing, and maintenance? Get a name, not a promise.
- Who answers when a driver has a problem? Driver support should not land on you.
- Is a grant guaranteed? If the answer is yes, walk away. It is competitive.
- What do you need from me? The list should be short.
- What if my property is not a fit? You should get a straight answer and the reason.
- What happens before construction starts? Nothing without your signed agreement.
- How long is the agreement, and how does it end? Ask for it in writing.
- What do you do with my information? Only evaluate and reply, ideally.
